VIP's five-step learning model Effective project management begins with change communication that engages program stakeholders and potential learners in a dialogue about the training program. As stakeholders and learners are introduced to the goals of the program, they are asked for their input on its design, implementation and evaluation strategy. This input guides the development of the content and engages a problem-centered learning context. The problem-centered context becomes the venue for the training program's problem solving exercises that use guided experience and hands-on demonstrations. Actual workplace problems and solutions make the exercises practical and meaningful to the learners. At the completion of each section of the module, learners are tested for their understanding and mastery of the content. This is done through independent practice. If learners need more help in understanding the material, support is available on demand through online help. The last step of the learning model measures the effectiveness of the training module as well as the learner's mastery of that material. These five steps encompass more than just an e-learning methodology. They incorporate VIP's customer focus, bottom line orientation and best practice results way of doing business.
